I Pucking Love You (The Copper Valley Thrusters #5)

A hockey/fake date/not quite a virgin very wrong romantic comedy

You know those stories where an adorably misunderstood clumsy girl needs a fake date to a wedding so she asks her brother’s best friend and they accidentally fall in love?

I wish that was the kind of life I lead, but it’s not.

I don’t need a date to a wedding. I need a date to a funeral.
Clumsy sometimes fits, but then, that’s true for all of us, right? But adorable? No. Misunderstood? Nope again. I’m just your average girl, standing in front of a funeral invitation, asking it to be a winning lottery ticket instead.

And I don’t have a brother, or a best friend with a brother available, which means I’m stuck with Tyler Jaeger.

Sure, he’s a professional hockey player who also knows advanced calculus, but let’s say we’re not compatible and leave it at that. I should know. I am a matchmaker.

Not a very good one, but that’s beside the point.

I know a mismatch when I see one.

Still, Tyler’s what I’ve got, and I am not going to this funeral solo, so he’s what I’ll take.

After all—what could go wrong at a funeral?

I Pucking Love You is a hilariously wrong romantic comedy about the world’s worst matchmaker, a hockey player with a problem he doesn’t want to talk about, and an awkward date of convenience that everyone would prefer to forget. It comes complete with a cat working his way through his nine lives, all the sexy times, fish and chips, and a swoony happily ever after.

Bombshells (Brooklyn Bruisers #8)

The women's league is in the house! And Brooklyn will never be the same again for Anton Bayer and the team…

This is my last chance to ditch my playboy reputation and finally fulfill my potential. So I’ve made three rules for our biggest season yet: no boozing, no women, and no scandals.

Especially that last thing.

So who do I befriend on the very first day back at the rink? An amazing female hockey player. I want Sylvie in a way that’s than just friendly. I crave her. But I have a championship to win, and so does she.

Then she gets her heart broken by my teammate, and I make the foolish mistake of comforting her in the best way I know how. Our night together sets off a string of sins.

Nobody can know about our affair, especially my overprotective teammate. I can’t let anyone see into my greedy little heart. Not even her.

The things I want from her, and the things we’ve already done? If anyone knew, there’d be bombshells.

Contains: a defenseman with dreamy blue eyes, a female goalie with bad ideas, a major battle of the sexes and a swimming pool scene

Gametime (Moo U, #4)

One drunken night and one case of mistaken identity turns a friendship inside out

You’ve seen the hockey twins around campus they look identical, but you can tell them apart by their actions. Patrick is the one who’s busy charming women. Paxton is the one in the library.

Until one night when Paxton parties a little harder than usual. Next thing he knows, he’s waking up naked next to Naomi, the girl of his dreams. He bares his heart before an awful realization sets in. He’s not the twin she thought he was

Naomi is the only child of a hockey legend. Partying hard is the best way she knows how to rebel against her controlling father. After a particularly crazy night, she realizes her big mistake. Her hookup isn’t the guy she’s been crushing on. It’s Paxton, her friend, the guy who gets her, who she can always count on. The guy she’d never want to hurt. And yet, the sex was good. Better than good.

Now she’s wondering if the wrong twin might be the right one after all .

Overtime (Moo U, #5)

Hotshot hockey star Patrick Graham has been groomed for the pros since before he could walk. Fast forward to his junior year of college, and he’s having the time of his life. What could be better than pucks, partying, and having his pick of campus women? But if Patrick doesn’t buckle down and get his grades up, he could find himself benched for the championships. Could a beautiful brainiac be the solution to his problems?

Nineteen year old Master’s student Ellie McGinn could do so many things with her biology degree, but her mother is pushing her toward a future she doesn't want. Tutoring a hockey hottie seems like the perfect opportunity to start making her own choices and living life on her own terms.

When learning turns to yearning, will they be ready to face the heat and heartache that love can bring?

Darkroom (Moo U, #7)

As a top draft pick from a family of hockey royalty, I'm under so much pressure that I’m losing my edge on the ice. I need something to snap my brain out of this self destructive stress loop. That’s where Indi Briscoe from my photography class comes in. She’s flirtatious and funny one moment, sweetly shy the next.

But she’s cagey. She has secrets. Also? She’s a virgin. Did I mention the pressure thing? Maybe I’m crazy for starting something with her. But we can’t seem to help ourselves

Warning: this standalone novel contains heat, heart, familial expectations, extreme milkshakes, and a hamster with deep thoughts.

Cinnamon Roll (Bold Brew #9)

This cinnamon roll has plenty of bite!

Maxime Demers has had an eye on Tom Cedric for a while, watching him flit from one awful man to another. So when Tom pins an ad to the community cork board at Bold Brew, Max can’t resist reading it. Tom’s looking for a play partner—someone who’s not a jerk—and Max knows he could give Tom what he needs. But first he’ll have to get the man to talk to him.

Tom Cedric thinks Max is way out of his league. He’s handsome, intelligent, speaks a billion languages, and can make a person kneel with a single look—too damn good for someone like Tom. But he can’t resist the temptation to talk to the man he’s had a crush on since the moment he laid eyes on him.

The connection between them is immediate, hot, and tempting, and when Max needs a replacement helper for an impact demo he’s giving, Tom jumps at the chance. A demo should be safe, right? A few hours. Clothing on. No stakes. Neither man is prepared when that spark ignites, and Tom is absolutely unprepared to discover the sweet man behind those dominating looks.

Cinnamon Roll is a stand alone novel in the Bold Brew shared universe, centered around an inclusive coffee shop in a fictional small city. Each steaming hot coffee shop romance can be enjoyed alone, but collect all ten for the most fun!

This twist on a second chance romance is 90,000 word cup of steaming hot scenes, a dusting of angst, plenty of fluff, and a guaranteed happy ending!

Halftime (Moo U #6)

There’s no halftime in hockey, but maybe there’s one in love…

Drunk dialing your girlfriend to tell her that you didn’t really cheat is a bad idea a lesson Seb Hunter learned the hard way. It was no surprise when she cut him completely out of her life. Now he’s finally moved on, and he’s looking forward to sopho year at Moo U. Until his ex arrives on campus.

For goalie Faith Devereaux, cheating is a hard pass. She grew up knowing all too well how destructive infidelity can be. She’s gotten over Seb and picked the college of her dreams. The fact that he’s a student there will not be a problem. Hockey is her priority. Not guys, not dating, definitely not exes.

But when an exhibition game forces them into close proximity, it isn’t long before their old attraction flares. Regaining trust is hard, though, when the heart plays a good defensive game.

But when the goal is love, one shot might be all they need.

The Rebel (Looking to Score #1)

I never thought I’d see her again.

We shared one hot night together back in college before our paths took us in different directions.

But now, the most brilliant and beautiful woman I’ve ever met is back in my life. And the chemistry I remember? It’s combustible than ever.

Except…our fling is forbidden and must exist only in secret. Her rules, not mine.

I can’t be her forever. I’m not that guy, and even she knows it.

But I can’t stay away from her either. I’m determined to claim not just her body but her heart, even if that’s the one thing she’s vowed not to give me.

Headstrong (Vino & Veritas, #3)

A straight guy gives gay hookup tips to a virgin. What could go wrong?

When I first met Whit, I couldn’t get away from him fast enough. He’s a hockey player, and I hate everything to do with the sport that once broke my heart.

But I can’t help feeling sorry for the guy. He’s newly out and desperate to meet someone, but his eagerness seems to scare potential hook ups away.

Agreeing to be his wingman should’ve been simple. Watching him flirt with other guys made things complicated.

Whit challenges me in every aspect of my life, from my hatred of hockey to the new questions I’m asking myself. Like why a straight man suddenly can’t stop thinking about kissing another guy.

I think the answer lies somewhere on Whit’s lips

Dirty Talker (Slayers Hockey, #4)

His mouth is hot enough to melt the ice.

Ten days. That’s all I’m asking for. But not one of my NHL teammates is willing to cough up a sister, cousin, or trusted friend to play my fake girlfriend for this wedding.

Pucking BS. Yeah, my mouth has been known to get me into places I don’t belong. But this Class Five panty melter is on lockdown because the last thing I need is another complication.

I’m about to give up when fate delivers the answer to my prayers.

I’m not her type.
She doesn’t date jocks.
All this sharp, sexy over achiever wants is a little fun, an escape from her career driven life.

It’s a simple arrangement. So why am I complicating it?

Mr. Bridge dIn Julyin Where Fire and Fury was all sly innuendo and fun gossip with aose of holy crap this man is an idiot Siege paints a far grimmer picture of not just a man but a family so venal that the Office of the President of the United States of America has essentially become a booth in a flea market for all sorts of influence peddlers and lobbyists The picture painted here is of an Office that was once the most highly regarded position in the world brought so low by not just the person occupying it but by the Akenfield dregs of society he has surrounded himself with The conmen and hangers on the foul bigots the ones who would sooner spit on the Constitution as they would honour it and worst of all the ones using the office for monetary gain they have all by turnespoiled that Office and it is just a tragedy Wolff opens Siege by addressing the number one charge against him his sources He The Case of the Philosophers Ring by Dr. John H. Watson discusses openly how he gets his materials and the many steps he has to take to verify information Contrary to what many mainstream jealous journalists say this is solid writing Before I get into the guts of the book the other thing I would note that is so very interesting and that seems to escape the notice of some is that the things that Wolffiscussed as being planned for behind the scenes in Fire and Fury have indeed come to pass and have played out in the public eye so wildly that I actually went back to my copy of Fire and Fury to check and see what he had written about them Now on to the book This book purely Connecting with Horses deals with the events after Fire and Furyuring the time of the Mueller investigation and report While the book focuses primarily on Trump it Several Strangers does give a thorough accounting of the backroom happenings of things we saw on the news Khashoggi McDougall the many many avoidable fiascoes that would never happen if you had a President who was actually understanding of what the title meant and herein lies the crux of the problem After two years in office Trump still has no idea what he can and can to as President he has no idea how bad it is that Congress is investigating him he has no idea of how much jeopardy he is actually in He appoints people who have no idea what they are Lillian Toos Little Book Of Feng Shui doing to positions theyon t understand It isn t Trump under siege it is the country A continued theme throughout the book is that the President is managed by sunshine being blown up his ass I believe that Someone like him is likely in a position where that is true the other big theme It is President Bannon all the way He is basically The Winter Warrior directing policy without even being in the White House all he has too is blow the wind towards his friends at Fox News and there you are The Caravan crazy tweets Bannon s idea The Wall tweets Bannon s idea The National Emergency Guess who In terms of foreign policy There is so much to unpack that it would take pages of review to get to I will just say that any possible standing the US had as an honest broker in foreign policy is gone thanks to the fumbling of his son in law Kushner It is gone suandered and sold so he could get a bail out for his family s financial real estate company Wolff writes compelling work because he gives you behind the scene minutiae about items that seem perplexing This book is meant for people who are following this administration closely than it is for people who are looking for another Fire and Fury Fun Gossipy Read Heard fun gossipy read Heard this book on PoliticalTwitter and I see Trump supporters are already one starring this baby in anticipation of its releaseFIRE AND FURY was a ecent the scenes look at Trump s bizarre and increasingly unhinged second year in the White House It s easy to Flawed (The Butcher, dismiss a lot of the tidbits in this book such as that Trump wishes he hadn t given Don Trump Junior his name that heidn t want to visit his own recently born grandchild in the hospital or that he makes fun of anyone with a mustache and his own ad Fred Trump who routinely belittled and humiliated him just happened to have a mustache But for worse or worser these items are now a part of the historical record because we the American But for worse or worser these items are now a part of the historical record because we the American made the mistake of giving this man the nuclear codes In many cases the point is not so much whether what was said was true normalize this president The book has a happy ending at least for Trump in that to his surprise and the surprise of everyone else around him Mueller s final report played it relatively safe punting the hardest uestions to Congress and allowing Trump to live to fight another Lots of Mommies day But I think this victory will be short lived and that Trump s eventualownfall is inevitable In my opinion Trump will be remembered as one of history s great eranged mad rulers How much amage he Fantasy Man does is up to us and borrowing some words from my favorite Democratic primary candidate Pete Siege Trump Under FireI made it through Chapter 13 Trump and Putin Helsinki oh my and then my hay feverish eyes gave out for the The Flame Of Adventure day For understanding Trump and his crazy train this is better than Wolff s earlier book or Woodward s or Comey s In the first 12 chapters at least Wolff has surfaced forgotten stories and given new information on the Pences Guiliani McConnell and the Trump family With one of the most respected editors in the book business and a suad of fact checkers I haven t even found a typo yet Don t let the news media investment in other stories this week keep you from reading this book I can t wait to go back to it What a contrast that was with Woodward s book Instead of high level leaks and national security Wolff s Siege is just pure gossipAnd that makes for an entertaining read The guyoes know how to write There s Karen Pence rama Giuliani s rinking and behind the scenes family scuffles at Fox NewsFor the most part this book is comfort food for the resistance The president is always portrayed as a total idiot and there s a certain reassuring satisfaction in having that confirmed Apparently absolutely everyone around him thinks he is the absolute worst Even when criticizing the left and uoting Bannon and there is so much Bannon the overarching theme is still that the president is Divine Magnetic Lands dumb as shit Another overarching theme is how all the people in his circle are constantly trying to steer and manipulate the highest office in the land with endlessistractions and strategies and theorizing what makes that infamous reality show host tick And the reason they work so hard is of course so that they can save their careers That s about it when it comes to making the government go round It gets very Frog and the Treasure disturbing to hear about how all these people seem to be in it only for themselves Very seldomlyo any of his inept kids or cohorts worry about what s best for the country and for the world More often they totally admit how unethical and often illegal the whole operation is and yet they must try their best to win Because it s their team or something This goes most for Bannon who is basically the co writer of this book He goes on and on and on about how stupid and insane his chosen president is but that s okay because he s fighting the so called establishment But after all those thousands of words Bannon never truly tries to explain exactly how his movement would make citizens lives better in any way He fights hard to win and the uestion of why is never addressed The furthest Bannon seems to be able to think is that he s against third world immigrants and he s against China Oh and the bad thing about The Butterfly Club democrats is that they only care about people in the margins Again it is not addressed what people at all his party cares about The conclusion is that the new far right is only against things and for nothingWhat horrible people Then the book ends on an anti climatic noteue to the Lilith Enraptured (Divinity Warriors disappointment of the Mueller Report as we all know Wolff certainly assumes the inevitability of the comingownfall there s no uestion as far as this author and all his sources are concerned I most His Substitute Bride (Seavers Brides, definitelyo hope so myself But without a proper ending for the book as much as it s worth reading as a Fire and Fury seuel it simply Tu Alma ¿La Conoces? doesn t feel like it has a proper endingNooubt there will be at least a third in the trilogy and many will want to read and analyze the historical trainwreck of it all For this reader however I am left wondering why it is I keep coming back to these shitty Trmp books Have you watched the news on a semi regular basis over the past 2 years Have you ever read the president s tweets And lastly are you modestly intelligent and can make simple inferences based on what you watch read can make simple based on what you watch read listen to If the answer to all those uestions is yes then 95% of the information in this book will either already be known to you or you will have guessed it as muchWhat of the other 120 bits of J.M. follows the news At best this book validates what one observes At worst it fills inetails with tabloid rumorsNot to say that the story Wolff has written isn t entertaining There s much hilarity in this book in a The Wolf of Wall Street kind of way These books will make Wolf spectacularly rich one Dr. Simon Forman day when they re optioned and turned into a biopicark comedy Assuming the remainder of the Trump years Serving Up Secrecy (Ladies of Westside doesn t end up being profoundly tragic because of errors made by the administration on the world stageUnless you can get this book in a severeiscount or free one can probably hold off on it If you re entertained by reading about a three stooges like a team of grifters a sort of anti Ocean s 11 and have nothing to read it may be a A Wartime Nurse decent pickup I suggest you could get 90% of the same effect by just watching Steven Colbert s Our Cartoon President Not as informative as Fire and Fury This is mostly high class gossipChump is Putin s bitch I Split didn t finish Robert Woodward s Fear Trump in the White House because it read like a string of anecdotes In contrast Michael Wolff s earlier book Fire and Fury Inside the Trump White House gave a cohesive portrait of the Trump administration s culture While he is not embedded in Siege Wolff further perfects the Woodward genre The Introduction gives a portrait of Trump that holds throughout The chapters are topical most of them named for people but expandThere is a lot here than you get in the news Some of it is substantive such as a Republican near mutiny following Helsinki and some of it humorous such as staff takes on what Putin said to Trump to make him look soefeated The press would have you believe that Trump wanted Brett Kavanaugh on the bench but Wolff is clear that Trump wanted his own justice which is both humorous I know about attorneys I ve been firing attorneys for years and serious he wants someone who owes him not one from the Federalist SocietyWolff s background speculation fills in the blanks such as with both Trump and Stormy Daniels having reasons to keep their story private after all these years and her objections why was she paid off Wolff poses a Michael Cohen fix where he can skim off the top Wolfe gives the obvious answer about Guilani that you will not find in the news he When Stories Clash drinksFF seemed to be Wolff ghost writing for Steve Bannon this new book is still heavy on Bannon but the Wolff voice comes through An example is the chapter on Manafort which begins For Bannon Manafort had long been an incomprehensible and comic presencea uintessential Trump sort of character useful and amusing to Trump as well as a potential mortal threat to him It goes on to say how Bannon and Manafort met and the times they interfaced The parts on Manafort s connections to Derpaska to Putin his trial and pardon vs witness strategies seem to be WolffWolff the author of The Man Who Owns the News Inside the Secret World of Rupert Murdoch seems to be the voice of the chapter Hannity which is aeeper look at Fox News Never the Woodward style stenographer Wolfe s ties Roger Ailes warning that the network should guard against being the administration s mouthpiece to the current situation where the 3 Fox talking against being the administration s mouthpiece to the current situation where the 3 Fox talking anchors have acknowledged that if Trump goes Sword of Honour Second To None down they go with him This chapter includes the channel s impact on the Murdock family All the Murdock sislike Trump Rupert can t get him off the phone fast enough the The Extra Cadaver Murder divisive issue is the money the channel brings inThere is some interesting color on Nikki Halley and the timing of her resignation You see the fragile position of Ivanka and Jared You also see Henry Kissinger attempting to benefit from Jared s position and lack of preparation for it Mitch McConnell is shown to know how to play Trump and seek cover The final chapter The Report has a portrait of Robert Muller that would never appear in the main stream media Either Wolff or Bannon or both see him not as a by the book Marine but as a cautious indecisive bureaucrat Very little is said of Robert Barr This is a must read for political junkies who have surely already read it or for those who are reasonably informed who want a interpretive and most likely realistic portrait of what is going on than you can get in news produced for a mass market Henry Holt will publish Michael Wolff s new book Siege Trump
